Case Study 4:
Pre-Congress Training for a Cross-Functional Team

Pre-congress training for a cross-functional team at a major pharmaceutical company

FBA provided combined messaging and Q&A training to a group of approximately 40 leaders and scientists from one company in preparation for a high-profile topic to be presented at a medical congress.

The group represented different parts of the business including medical, commercial, access, regulatory and communications. The custom training focused on key message delivery, speaking with one voice, managing Q&A and effectively setting boundaries.

A virtual plenary session provided an overview of the theory and techniques. The following week, participants attended a full-day workshop in person for live practice. Participants rotated between 4  trainers to practice the techniques when answering questions on different topics.

Feedback from participants:

  • ”It gave me the tools to tell ‘my story’ and drive the discussion. In addition, it gave me more confidence to answer questions in case of negative and mixed results. Thank you!”
  • “Was one of the most enjoyable training sessions. The trainers were very knowledgeable and tailored the training perfectly to this specific situation.”
  • “The tools and skills to be able to ‘bridge’, ‘frame’ etc were fantastic and allowed me to be more confident in any situation.”

“I’ve heard from so many attendees how valuable this was for them.”
